Temple theft: One person arrested, stolen statues recovered

Hubli, Nov 2 (UNI) Police here today arrested a person and recovered from him three bronze statues and silver ornaments stolen from a temple in Ramdurg town of Begaum district yesterday.

According to police, Shankar Patil was arrested when he was trying to sell the stolen statues of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Krishna and silver ornaments, totally worth Rs 50,000, at a shop here.
