SP Shahjahanpur removed by UP govt
Lucknow, Nov 2 (UNI) On the directives of State Election Commission (SEC), the Uttar Pradesh government today removed the Police Superintendent of Shahjahanpur district with immediate effect.
According to state home department sources, Inspector General of Bareilly zone S P Yadav has been given additional charge of Shahjahanpur in place of SP A K Tyagi.
The decision to remove the SP Shahjahanpur was taken by the SEC following complaints lodged by Congress MP Jiten Prasada against the police officer for having nexus with the ruling party in the urban local bodies election.
