Police arrest 'Don' carrying Rs 25,000 reward

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) Police have arrested a 32-year-old inter-state 'Don', carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 announced by the Delhi Police, from Gunnaur in Uttar Pradesh.

Intezar alias Don, wanted in connection with the March 2004 murder of a Jaipur resident, was arrested by the Crime Branch sleuths near Gunnaur Town of District Badayun (UP) on Ocober 31, according to the police.

Investigations revealed that as per Don's February 4, 2004 conspiracy, his gang members befriended Jaipur resident trailer driver Rajesh and after intoxicating him with sleeping pills killed him by drowning him in a nullah (drain) in Hisar (Haryana).

They also looted his truck containing 'consignment' worth Rs 65 lakh.

During interrogation, Don revealed that he along with his other gang members -- Afzal, Mumtyaz, Shafi Mohd, Shafia and Wajid were involved in this crime.
