Mysore: Pak ultras' aides remanded to custody
Mysore, Nov 2: Two alleged aides of the two arrested Pakistani militants were today remanded to judicial custody till November 12.
The city police produced the duo, nabbed yesterday, before the First Additional Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate G S Sangarshi. They were charged with helping the Pakistani ultras Mohammad Fahad and Mohammad Ali Hussain obtain various certificates.
While Ismail (18) had posed as Mohammad Koya, the Indian identity of Fahad, and sworn in Kannada before the court to get a birth certificate for the latter, Rafiqan, agent of the local regional transport office, had allegedly fabricated a SSLC marks card to get Hussain a driving license.
In the meantime, investigation into the case continued and police were trying to ascertain the contacts, emails and websites visited by Hussain and Fahad using their laptop and desktop computer. Police had obtained court permission to open the gadgets and peruse the details.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir police team was expected to arrive in the city any moment to help in the investigation and particularly inquire Hussain, who was involved in the killing of 19 people including three policemen in J and K between 2004 and 2006.
As many as 12 cases had been registered against him in the Harwan police station limits of Srinagar.
Besides the two ultras, police have arrested five persons in connection with the case.
