Kannada to be used in lower courts in K'taka

Bangalore, Nov 2 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court has taken the initiative to use Kannada to issue summons in subordinate courts while it was open to suggestions on using the language at the High Court, Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph today said.

Adressing a press conference here to announce the valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebration of the High Court, he said a Computer Committee, constituted to introduce Kannada in administration of justice in subordinate courts, was preparing a software for the purpose.

He said Chief Justice of India Y K Sabharwal would attend the valedictory function at Kanteerava stadium on November four.
