Eicher Motors sales grow by 19 per cent
New Delhi, Nov 2: Heavy vehicle manufacturer Eicher Motors today recorded a 19 per cent increase in October sales of commercial vehicles at 2,399 units in comparison to the corresponding period last year.
In addition 77 units were exported as compared to 44 units in October 2005, thus making the total sales of 2476 units.
The total LCV/MCV and HCV sales in October 2006 were 2058 units and 418 units respectively as compared to 1866 units and 207 units in October 2005 registering a growth of 10 per cent and 102 per cent respectively.
''Our Terra 16 Tipper and MAV sales graph's in the HCV segment have started to show a rising trend. Our 11.10 vehicle has also shown an increase on a year on year basis of 85 per cent,'' company's Chief Executive, Commercial Vehicle Division A Ramasubramanian said.
