Court slaps life imprisonment to murder accused

Pratapgarh, Nov 1 (UNI) A local court has pronounced life imprisonment to a person accused in a murder case here.

According to prosecution, on December one, 2002 Rampati-- a resident of Badshahpur village was hacked to death by Jagroop, Ram Baksha and Ram Milan over a dispute under Sogipur police station area.

On the basis of substantial evidence and testimony, Additional and Sessions Court Judge P C Mishra slapped life imprisonment to Jagroop yesterday. Besides, the other accused Baksha and Milan were sentenced a rigorous imprisonment of one year, besides the imposition of Rs 2,000 each as penalty.
