BCCI to finalise venues for ODI series' in Jan-Feb on November 12

Mumbai, Nov 2 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India will decide the venues and the dates for the two home ODI series against Sri Lanka and West Indies to be held in January-February next year on November 12 at Nagpur.

Cricket board sources said here today that the Tours and Fixtures Committee would meet under the chairmanship of Shashank Manohar in Nagpur on November 12 and finalise the itinerary for the two home ODI series.

India would play a best of four-match series against West Indies in January followed by a best-of-five match series against Sri Lanka in February.

These two series will be the final tune-up before the World Cup which will begin in March, 2007 in West Indies, with India planning to reach there by March 1.

The venues will be selected by rotation policy adopted by the BCCI and the venues-Jaipur, Mohali, Ahmedabad and the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai will come in last of the list of venues after hosting the Champions Trophy matches.
