26 child scientists to participate in National Science Congres
Guwahati, Nov 02 (UNI) Altogether 26 child scientists from Asom will represent in the National Children's Science Congress to be held in Sikkim from December 27.
Two of them had been selected to represent in the Indian Science Congress at Anna Malai University, Chidambaran, and Tamil Nadu from January three.
They were Dikshita Buragohain from Dhemaji College and Shivanee Bora from Jyoti Vidyapith, Teok in Jorhat district.
Their project "Sengeligh" dwells on different varieties of bamboo found in Jogduar area and its impact on the conservation of bio-diversity, Assam Science Society general secretary Saranga Ranjan Patgiri said.
Talking to newsmen here today, Mr Patgiri informed that in the state level congress 508 child scientists have submitted 244 projects reports from different educational institutions of the state.
