Writer Gowda begins fast demanding Clasical Status for Kannada

Mysore, Nov 1 (UNI) Noted writer and former Mysore University Vice- Chancellor D Jaware Gowda today staged a daylong fast demanding 'Classical Language' status to Kannada language.

He said the agitation would be intensified if the Union Government does not consider the demand. Several organisations have extended their support to Mr Gowda's agitation.
