Two Bank employees shot dead; Rs 57 lakh looted in Bihar
Patna, Nov 1 (UNI) Armed criminals today gunned down two Bank employees and decamped with more than Rs 57 lakh from two banks in Bihar.
Police said the criminals shot dead two employees, who were en route to SBI's Patna branch to deposit cash from the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur's Muzaffarpur branch at Akara village on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur road under Hajipur Sadar police station.
They decamped with Rs 35.80 lakh.
In another incident, Police Superintendent of Samastipur Shahab Akhtar said about five armed miscreants robbed the United Bank of India's Moiuddinnagar branch of Rs 22 lakh at gun point.
He said the criminals took captive the employees and customers and decamped with the looted amount.
He said all the exit routes of the district had been sealed and raids were on to arrest them.
