Six boys hurt in stone pelting during Rajyotsava celebrations
Belgaum, Nov 1 (UNI) Six boys suffered minor injuries in stray incidents of stone pelting on Rajyotsava procession in the city today.
Police said the boys were treated as outpatients. Barring these stray incidents the procession passed off peacefully in this border row sensitive city.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Eikikaran Samiti, which is demanding the merger of the city with Maharashtra, observed the Karnataka Rajyotsava day as 'Black day'. They took out a bicycle procession through the main streets of the city carrying black flags.
In the twin-cities of Hubli-Dharwad an impressive procession was taken out with several tableau depicting the tradition and culture of the state.
