Police files chargesheet against Apollo Hospital staff in Rahul ca

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) The Delhi Police today filed a chargesheet in a local court against the doctors/management of the Apollo Hospital in connection with the drug case involving Rahul Mahajan.

According to police, doctors/management of Apollo Hospital had delibrately given false information regarding the drug toxcity suffered by Rahul Mahajan, in order to mislead the investigating agency so as to prevent legal measures.

The police claim to have gathered evidence against some Apollo Hospital staff including Ms Reji Chandru (DGM), Dr Mukund Pandey (CMO Casualty), Dr Ali Md Gonai, Dr Awdesh Bansal, Dr Abha Gupta, Dr Anupam Sibal, Dr Prasad Rao, Mohd Akram (Admn Assit/front office/casualty), Sherin Sherin Sara Chako, Ms Dilna Johnia, Harish Sharma, Sitanshu Mittal, nurse Nisha Anna Chako and Shyni Varghese, for trying to "save" Rahul Mahajan.

The police filed the chargesheet in the court of the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magisterate.

Delhi Police asked the court that the accused be tried for the commission of offence.

The ACMM put up the matter for taking cognisance on November 4.
