One killed by militant, hideout busted, RDX reocvered in J
Srinagar, Nov 1 (UNI) One person was killed by militants while security forces recovered RDX from a hideout, one ultra surrendered and another was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official spokesman said today.
He said a militant, Farooq Ahmad Kalas, entered the house of one Mubarak Shah at Sheikhpora Salar in south Kashmir to abduct him.
However, the family members overpowered him and snatched his weapon, however, the militant managed to escape. The weapon of the militant was later handed over to security forces by Shah.
The spokesman said militants kidnapped one Abdul Karim from Lancha Mahore in Udhampur district of Jammu region and later killed him by a sharp edged weapon. His body was recovered from a nearby field this morning.
Security forces arrested a militant along with two hand grenades, one ak rifle and 10 rounds of ammurition from Tantraypora in north Kashmir while a miliant surrendered along with one AK rifle, three magazines and 81 rounds of ammunition at Achabal in south Kashmir.
He said security forces busted a hideout during a search operation at Kundan Khari in Doda district in Jammu region and recovered one Universal Machine Gun, nine grenades, three UBGLs, one AK magazine, three detonators and one kg RDX. However, no one was arrested.
