North Korea says it will return to nuclear talks
SEOUL, Nov 1 (Reuters) North Korea confirmed today it would return to stalled six-country talks on ending its nuclear weapons programme.
''The DPRK (North Korea) decided to return to the six-party talks on the premise that the issue of lifting financial sanctions will be discussed and settled between the DPRK and the US within the framework of the six-party talks,'' its KCNA news agency reported citing a Foreign Ministry spokesman.
The North has refused to return to the talks for almost a year, saying the United States must end a crackdown on its international finances.
The UN Security Council approved sanctions against Pyongyang following its October 9 nuclear test.
