Night temperatures below normal in Assam, Meghalaya

Pune, Nov 1 (UNI) Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Orissa.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Marathwada and in some parts of Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Vidarbha and were above normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Telangana. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Northeast monsoon has been vigorous in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and east Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
