Mystery shrouds death of mother and daughter

Kolkata, Nov 01 (UNI) Mystery shrouds the death of a young mother and her seven year old daughter whose bodies were recovered from their south Kolkata residence today.

Police, who recovered the bodies after being informed by local people, found that the child was lying dead on the floor of their two bedroom apartment at Keyatala Road under Ballygunge police station.

The 29-year-old mother's body was found hanging from the ceiling.

Police said the deceased, staying in the apartment for the past five years, led a secluded life. Incidentally the woman was stated to be separated from her husband.

Police have lodged a case and started investigation.
