Miss Universe to meet AIDs affected women and children
Panaji, Nov 1 (UNI) Miss Universe Suleyka Rivera will meet children and women afflicted with HIV/AIDs during her two-day visit in connection with the 'HIV/AIDs awareness mission', commencing here from tomorrow.
Soon after her arrival from Bangalore, 19-year-old Miss Suleyka, hailing from Puerto Rico, will interact with the women and children at the La Calypso Hotel, which is hosting the event in collaboration with the Goa States Aids Control Society.
The leading entertainment channel-Fashion Tele Vision (FTV) has made special arrangements for the coverage of the event, FTV's Chief Operating Officer Bharat Sheth told reporters here today.
The next day, Miss Suleyka will walk the ramp along with 13 other international models to spread the message ''Get tested for AIDS, It's in fashion'',he said, adding that the Indian born US fashion designer Sanjana Jln will showcase her new summer collection during the show.
Both the events will be telecast to all the 200 centres of the FTV across the globe, Mr Sheth added.
Ms Suleyka would also visit the world heritage monuments in South Goa.
