JSW Steel announces Galvanised Steel price hike

Chennai, Nov 01 (UNI) JSW Steel Ltd, one of India's leading steel producers, today announced a hike of Rs 1000 tonne for its Galvanised Steel while leaving the price for HR Coils unchanged.

M V S Seshagiri Rao, Director-Finance, in a press release here, said "the price hike for galvanised steel has been necessitated by the steep increase in zinc prices in the international markets.

The price of zinc had gone up by 800-900 dollars in the international market in the last 30-35 days. This increase in galvanised steel prices in the Indian market reflects only a part of the increasing impact of raw material price, he added.
