HC grants anticipatory bail to former minister

Chennai, Nov 1 (UNI) Madras High Court today granted anticipatory bail to former AIADMK Minister B Valarmathi, who apprehended arrest in connection with the alleged seizure of petrol bombs and weapons during the local body elections.

Mr Justice M Thanickachallam granted anticipatory bail to Valarmathi on the condition that she should execute a bond for Rs 10,000 with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of Judicial Magistrate-II, Poonamalee.

The judge also directed her to appear before the St.Thomas Mount Police Station everyday at 1000 hrs for 15 days.
