Creations of Rajasthan artisans on show and sale

Chennai, Nov 1 (UNI) In another bid to create a market for handicrafts and handlooms, a six-day 'Rajasthan Mela'-bazaar, was inaugurated here today keeping on show the 'creations' of artisans from that state.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated by Kollywoood star, Swathi, has on display the famous Jaipur bangles in different designs and colours, a wide range of bags, collection of textils, stone paintings, wood carvings and terracotta articles, silk and velvet paintings from Kishangarh among other handicrafts.

The 'goods' on show are being offered at a discount of 20 per cent for handlooms, 15 per cent for jewellery and 10 per cent for handicrafts, according to a press release.
