Bihar speaker stresses for legislative forum in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Nov 1 (UNI) Bihar Assembly speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary today suggested his Jharkhand counterpart Alamgeer Alam to refer the house proceeding copies of erstwhile Bihar.
Mr Choudhary said the Bihar assembly proceedings would help the six-year old Jharkhand to understand the things better.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Choudhary stressed the need to form a legislators' forum in Jharkhand, which is already present in Bihar.
He said the forum in Bihar had been working on issues like population control, poverty eradication and AIDS awareness among the people.
He further said about ten MLAs were going on a study tour to Thailand and Combodia from November 20 to 30 in this context.
He said a workshop would also be organised in Kishanganj where the public representatives and Aanganbari sevikas would participate.
Mr Choudhary said a workshop with the 17th wing of United Nation would be organised here this year to discuss population and AIDS control strategies.
Meanwhile, Mr Alam assured of such legislative forum by next year.
