Air Marshal Mukul is new SASO at SWAC

Gandhinagar, Nov 1 (UNI) Air Marshal Suresh Chand Mukul today took over as the new Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) at HQ South Western Air Command (SWAC) here.

Air Marshal Mukul took over as SASO from Air Marshal G S Chaudhury who assumed office as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Training Command at Bangalore.

Air Marshal Mukul was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in January 1972 into the fighter stream. He has flown almost every combat aircraft on the inventory of the IAF and has logged over 4200 hrs of flying on a variety of aircraft.

He has also functioned as Air Adviser to Chief of the Air Staff and as Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) at Air Headquarters, a defence statement said here.
