Air marshal Chaudhry takes over as commander of Training Command
Bangalore, Nov 1 (UNI) Air Marshal Gurnam Singh Chaudhry today took over as Air Officer Commanding in Chief of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force here.
The Command is responsible for training the personnel of all branches and various trades of the IAF.
Air Marshal Chaudhry was serving as senior Air Staff Officer at HQ South Western Air Command before the new posting.
He had served in various fighter squardons of IAF and participated in the 1971 Indo Pak war on the western front. He is also an experimental test pilot and had flown several types fighter, bombers, transport aircraft, helicopters and trainer aircraft and had looged 4300 hrs of flying experience.
