10 people killed in Jeep-truck collision

Bidar, Karnataka, Nov 1 (UNI) Ten people, including two women, were killed and four others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck at the Bidar-Srirangapatna State Highway near Hallikhed in this district today.

According to police sources, the victims were returning after attending a fair at Changaler in the district.

The accident occurred near Karanja reservoir in the Hallikhed village about 40 km from Bidar town.

The injured were taken to Hyderabad for treatment. Senior police officials visited the spot, the sources said.
