Woman Maoist killed in encounter

Warangal, Oct 31: One woman naxal belonging to CPI (Maoist) party was killed in an encounter with the police near Narlapur dense forest area at Tadwai mandal in the district today.

Police said the five naxals had opened fire on the special police while combing the forest. In retaliation, police opened fire and killed the Maoist action team member Sulochana. The slain naxal was the wife of Maoist action team Commander Kiran.

Eight kit bags, one 303 and one carban were recovered from the place. The other four naxals escaped from the scene.
