Victim of gangrape recovered by Morena police
Morena, MP, Oct 31 (UNI) A girl, who was abducted from Barasat in West Bengal and gangraped, was recovered last night by Madhya Pradesh's Morena Police.
Ambah Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Rakesh Sagar said the victim, a class VIII student, was lured to go to New Delhi by Saliya and Raju Chhari. They later sold her to Morena-resident Premlata Chhari, who lives in Meerut.
Premlata sent the girl with her brother Bhura to Ambah, where she was locked in a room for the past two months. She was regularly harassed, beaten up and gangraped.
The victim managed to escape yesterday and reached the police station, where she narrated her woe in Bengali. A Bengali speaker was called and the girl's complaint lodged.
On the basis of complaint, police were on the lookout Billu Chhari, Raju Chhari and Bharu Saliya.
