United Phosphorus Q2 net spurts 171 pc

Mumbai, Oct 31: United Phosphorus Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 39.52 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 14.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a jump of 171.42 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise duty and rebates&discounts) has increased from Rs 293.67 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, to Rs 391.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
