TRS calls for bandh tomorrow
Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has called for a Telangana bandh tomorrow, as the Andhra Pradesh Government is gearing up to celebrate the golden jubilee of the formation of the first linguistic state in 1956.
Addressing a press conference at the 'Telangana Bhavan' here, TRS President and former Union Labour Minister alleged that Telagana remained backward for the last 50 years due to the rule by ''settlers''.
He urged the people of Telangana to make the bandh a success to register their protest against plundering of the natural resources of Telangana, including land and water.
Meanwhile, BJP National Secretary B Datattreya and former Union Minister of State for Home Ch Vidyasagar Rao disapproving of the TRS' bandh call, alleged that the bandh was called keeping an eye on the Karimnagar Lok Sabha by-election.
