Sugar price rises on better buying support
Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) Spot sugar prices rose on better buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association today said.
Sugar small grade remained steady on moderate demand while medium came down by Rs two on increased offers by stockists.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades hiked by Rs ten and Rs five per quintal on lesser stock supply.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,744/1,775, medium grade: Rs 1,764/1,815, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,730/1,750, medium grade: Rs 1,750/1,780.
