Student injured in minor explosion

Puducherry, Oct 31 (UNI) An 11th standard student of the Government Higher Secondary School at Kalapet near here sustained injuries in an explosion in the school premises today.

According to police, the student, Vetrivel found a parcel near the cycle stand and jumped over it, resulting in an explosion. He injured his leg and was admitted to Government General Hospital here.

Police are investigating whether it was a cracker or any kind of explosive.
