Sonia urges NSUI to take up social work
New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi today urged National Students Union of India (NSUI) district chiefs not to confine themselves to politics but also take up social work.
''There are many areas including dissuading people from taking drugs, preventing female foeticide and creating awareness about AIDS where the NSUI can contribute to society by launching campaigns against these social evils,'' she said after inaugurating a training camp of the NSUI, student wing of the Congress.
Ms Gandhi the NSUI workers should spread the principles and message of the Congress among the youth.
About 800 district chiefs of the NSUI are participating in the training camp.
