Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi said she was committed to ensure the introduction of the long-pending Women's Reservation Bill in the coming Winter Session of Parliament.

Informing this to newspersons here today, All India Mahila Congress Vice-President K S Soundaram said Ms Gandhi firmly believed that women could be empowered politically only by providing them one-third reservation of seats in Parliament and State Legislatures.

Expressing serious concern over the alarming drop in the sex ratio due to 'misuse' of sex-determination test, she said the party would step up its nation-wide campaign till December to reverse the trend.

The campaign would culminate in a massive Convention in New Delhi to be addressed by Ms Gandhi, she added.
