Shoaib, Asif to be selected only after tribunal clearance: Bari
Lahore, Oct 31 (UNI) The inclusion of Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif in the Pakistan team for the home-series against West Indies will be subject to the pace duo getting a clearance from the PCB Tribunal investigating the doping charges against them.
Chief selector Wasim Bari said the two bowlers, who tested positive for banned anabolic steroid nandrolone in tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board, would be considered only after being cleared by the three-man tribunal which give it's decision on Thursday.
The team for the tour of Pakistan will be announced next week after the selection of 17 players for a training camp.
West Indies will play three Tests and five one-dayers during the tour. The first Test between the two sides will be played from November 11 here.
