Senior fishery officers caught while taking bribe

Patna, Oct 31 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths today arreasted deputy director of fisheries Lalan Choudhry, Muzaffarpur, and district fisheries officer of Motihari Vipin Sharma for taking bribe at Motihari of East Champaran district.

Additional Director General, Vigilance, Neelmani said that secretary of a fishery cooperative of Chorodano, Motihari, Sanjay Kumar had informed the vigilance bureau about demands of bribe by both the officers for settlement of a matter. He said both the officers were arrested while receiving cash.

Mr Neelmani said the Patelnagar residence of Mr Sharma in Patna had been sealed and would be searched in his presence for which Mr Sharma was being brought here from Motihari. The residence of Mr Choudhry in Muzaffarpur was being searched.
