Security beefed up for 'Kartik Purnima Mela'

Faizabad, Oct 31 (UNI) Adequate security arrangements have been made for the famous 'Kartik Purnima Mela' beginning here tomorrow.

District Magistrate Amod Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Gupta said as the threat of terror continues to haunt this holy city, local police has been pressed into round the clock security.

Meanwhile, police is keeping an extra vigil at all sensitive and public places including the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi complex, Saryu ghats, railway station and bus terminals.

Thousands of devouts are expected to throng this holy city to submerge in the worship of Lord Ram.
