Russia hails resumption of 6-nation talks on N Korean Nuclear issue
Moscow, Oct 31 (UNI) Russia today welcomed the agreement reached at an informal meeting of Chinese, US and North Korean representatives in Beijing to resume the six-sided talks aimed at breaking the impasse over Pyongyang's nuclear programme.
''We unambiguously assess the informal meeting itself and the statement on resuming the six-sided negotiations as soon as possible as exceedingly positive,'' Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alexeyev told Interfax news agency.
''The six-nation talks have been given a chance,'' Mr Alexeyev added.
