Radico Kahitan Q2 net rises 21.67 pc

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Leading liquor manufacturer Radico Khaitan Ltd today posted a 21.67 per cent growth in net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2006 at Rs 10.51 crore as compared to Rs 8.63 crore for the same period last year.

With brand launches in new markets the quarter saw the turnover going up from Rs 267.20 crore to Rs 317.30 crore, a growth of 19 per cent.

''We are very pleased with our 22 per cent per cent growth in profits. Looking ahead to the third quarter of fiscal 2006-07, we are upbeat about growth,'' Radico Khaitan Chairman and Managing Director Lalit Khaitan said.

The EPS stood at Rs 4.36 compared to Rs 3.6 for corresponding results last quarter, a growth of 21 per cent.
