R System to acquire 15 pc in Japan's Aisel

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) R Systems International Ltd today said it will take up 15 per cent stake in Tokyo-based Aisel Corporation, an independent systems development and business solutions provider, to enter the Japanese market.

The proposed transaction also provides for Aisel to take up to 5 per cent equity stake in the company through issuance of new shares at Rs 250 each, besides collaborating exclusively for delivery of certain services to each other's customers.

''Our proposed strategic alliance will help R Systems and Aisel to complement our respective strengths and capabilities to offer integrated seamless global delivery to our clients in Japan,'' company CEO Rekhi Singh said.

Both R Systems and Aisel customers will benefit from this unique strategic alliance as it will provide them with the benefits of a blended, onshore and offshore delivery model and reduce the cost of ownership of solutions, he added.

While the company will serve Aisel's offshore software development needs, the Japanese firm will provide onsite project management and coordination needs to the company.

The initiative, subject to definitive agreements and regulatory and other corporate approvals, is expected to be completed in four months.
