PCC to organise mass movement in protest against blood kit scam

Kolkata, Oct 31 (UNI) The West Bengal Congress would organise mass movement against the Left Front government for the blood kit scam in the state.

Congress working president Pradip Bhattacharjee told newsmen here today that the party had earlier demanded the resignation of Health Minister Surjya Kanta Mishra and punishment of the health officials involved in the scam.

He alleged that unfortunately the ruling Left Front government had not taken any decision in this regard.

" We have already instructed all the district wings to organise rally, demonstration and agitation throughout the state from November 2 for the resignation of the Health Minister and punishment of those government officials, involved in this scam, " he said.

" We would also appeal to the Centre to order a CBI inquiry into the whole affair to identify the guilty, " he added.

He also said the party would announce its programme of movements within day or two.
