No confusion in DPA, says TNCC chief

Chennai, Oct 31: Making light of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder-Leader S Ramadoss' charge of betrayal against the DMK, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President M Krishnasamy today said there was no confusion in the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance in the state.

The remarks made by Dr Ramadoss were his own, he told reporters after paying tributes to Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at party headquarters 'Satyamurthy Bhavan' here on her 22nd death anniversary.

Admitting the DMK partymen had committed some mistakes in the just-concluded local body elections, he said it had all happened without the knowledge of DMK President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

In some places, the posts of Panchayat Presidents allotted to the Congress had been usurped by DMK men, he claimed.

District presidents of the party had been asked to send a detailed list of places where the Congress had suffered at the hands of the DMK, Mr Krishnasamy said.
