Nickel declines; ferrous/non-ferrous metals steady
Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) Nickel declined by Rs 40 per kg on increased offers by stockists in line with London Metal Exchange, while ferrous and non-ferrous metal remained steady on moderate demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
Tin slab went up by Rs two per kg on improved demand while nickel cathode declined by Rs 40 per kg on increased offers by stockists.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,800, copper utensils - Rs 32,700, brass utensils - Rs 22,900, brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,200.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 41,100, aluminium ingots - Rs 13,500, zinc slab - Rs 22,200, lead ingots - Rs 7,800, tin slab - Rs 572 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,920 (per kg).
