NCC cadets donate blood in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 31 (UNI) As many as 50 boys and girls, all cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), donated blood here today.

Defence Minister A K Antony later spoke to two cadets Sadaf and Mir Zubair Rashid. ''We are proud to be the blood donors,'' they told him.

The donors carried a message ''donate blood and save the needy poor persons''. About 220 units of blood was donated by the cadets.

The drive was also undertaken at Baramulla, Uri and Leh.
