Mysore police allowed to peruse seized articles of militants

Mysore, Oct 31 (UNI) The Mysore City Court today granted permission to the police to open and peruse the articles seized from the two Pakistani terrorists, arrested in the city last week.

According to city Police Commissioner Praveen Sood, the articles seized from ultras Mohammad Fahad and Mohammad Ali Hussain included a laptop, a desktop computer, 25 SIM cards and some electronic gadgets. The laptop and the desktop would shed light on the websites accessed, e-mails sent/received and phone numbers stored by the duo.

It would help further investigation in the case, he added.

Police had also frozen the accounts of Fahad in a private bank.

Meanwhile, a Jammu and Kashmir police team was expected to arrive here in a day or two to grill the extremists, particularly Hussain, involved in the killing of 19 people including three police personnel between 2004 and 2006. As many as 12 cases had been filed against him in the Harwam police station in Srinagar. The Jammu and Kashmir Government had even announced a reward of Rs five lakh for his capture.

Similarly, police teams of others States like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala have contacted the city police.
