Chandigarh Oct 31 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati will address a public rally in Jalandhar on November 30, to kick off the party's campaign for the Punjab Assembly elections to be held early next year.

The state's BSP leadership today claimed that nearly ten lakh people from across the state would attend the ''vishal rally'', indicating the strength of the party which had already announced 50 candidates for the polls.

Reiterating that the party would contest all 117 seats without any alliance, Punjab BSP chief Narinder Kumar Kashyap told media here the the rally would set an agenda of ''social justice'' in the state as a slogan during the elections.

The BSP has already become a third front in Punjab providing an alternative to the ruling Congress and the Akali-BJP coalition, Mr Kashyap said.

He stated that BSP had the support of not only Dalits, which comprised over 40 per cent of the state's population but also of other sections, cutting across caste lines.
