Maj Gen Sivasankar's 5-day visit

Chennai, Oct 31: Major General B Sivasankar, General Officer Commanding, HQ ATNK and K area will pay a five-day visit to Kerala from tomorrow.

During his visit, the General will inspect Army Unit located in Thiruvananthapuram and preside over Veteran's rally for ex-servicemen on November two.

His main mission is to give a thrust to the ongoing welfare measures for the benefit of lakhs of ex-servicemen, service widows and their wards hailing from the state, a Defence release said here today.

The General will also introduce various welfare measures like ex-servicemen helpline and army placement Mode in the state.

In continuation of his unwavering support for the upliftment of ex-servicemen and their wards, the General Officer will also visit Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) policlinics in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Kottayam, the release added.
