Kids ill after eating ratanjot seeds
Dhamtari, Oct 31 (UNI) Ten school children aged between six and ten years have taken ill after consuming ratanjot seeds at Gadadeeh village in this district of Chhattisgarh.
The kids consumed the seeds early on Sunday from saplings on a farm fence. After displaying vomitting symptoms, Kumari Lekhni, Purushottam, Teman, Jitendra, Harishankar, Lakshminarayan, Kailash, Devcharan, Moolchand and Bisauha were admitted to a health centre at Magarlod. All of them were stated to be out of danger after being administered first aid.
Ratanjot grows naturally in this state's forests and barren land.
Locals also call it bagranda and the seeds are used for producing biodiesel.
