JSP wins the Panhala nagarparishad elections unopposed

Kolhapur, Oct 31 (UNI) Jansurajya Shakti party (JSP) has today created a record of sorts by winning the Panhala nagarparishad elections unopposed.

The JSP was led by it's founder president Maharashtra non-conventional Energy Minister Vinay Kore.

On Saturday, which was the last date for the filing of the nomination papers for the Panhala nagarparishad's 17 seats , the JSP's 13 candidates were cleared unopposed. In the remaining four seats, the other candidates in the race withdrawn from the contest yesterday, clearing the way for the JSP candidates to win the nagarparishad election unopposed.

As per election programme, polling for the civbic bodies in the state was scheduled to be held next month.
