Huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered in Rajouri

Jammu, Oct 31 (UNI) Security forces today recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including sophisticated weapons, during a search operation in the forest of Adangi Margota in border district of Rajouri.

Official sources said a joint search operation was launched by police and security forces in the forest area of Adangi and recovered one fixed butt AK rifle, two 7.62 mm Pakistan made pistol, one caliber pistol 22, one crude pistol, one revolver 03, 7.62 mm AK magazines, 10 pistol magazines 7.62 mm, 31 hand grenades, 55 UBG grenades, 59 AGL grenades, 605 rounds 7.62 mm AK ammunition, 11 rounds PIKA ammunition, five AK empty cartridges 7.62 mm, one radio set Alinco with antenna, one YAESU with antenna, one ICOM with antenna, one Nokia mobile set, 35 grenade detonators, 63 electric detonators, 51 electric IED switch, 14 stick type detonators, 10 kg gelatin explosive, one bottle grain type explosive, three boxes iron palettes, five battery 09 volt, seven energizer cells, one assorted medicine packet. Six tobacco packets, two cleaning Rodof AK rifle, three Pakistan magazines (Al-Dawa), 13 pocket Quran, two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) letter pad, one Jamat-ul-Mujahideen (JuM, J K) letter pad and five diaries.

In another incident, four armed militants identified as Sherif, Maqsood, Rafiq and Liyaqat entered into the house of one Ali Mohammad, son of Keena Gujar hailing from Lancha tehsil Mahore and fired upon the family members/cattle and set ablaze residential house of one Kalu's/o Keema Gujjar r/o Lancha who had earlier migrated to Reasi in Udhampur district.
