Hindustan Zinc Q2 net jumps 562 pc

Mumbai, Oct 31 (UNI) Hindustan Zinc Ltd has reported a quantum jump of 562.24 per cent posted in the net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 at Rs 1298 crore as compared to Rs 196 crore for the similar quarter last fiscal.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 706 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 2487 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
